On 12/5/2021, at approximately 2:00 P.M. Officers responded to a vehicle versus pedestrian accident at Wal-mart. Mary Severtson, 81 of Mountain View, had exited the store and was pushing a shopping cart across the pedestrian crosswalk, when 79 year old Calvin Brown of Mountain View, entered the crosswalk and struck Severtson knocking her to the ground and running up and on top of her then backing off and coming to a stop. Severtson, was transported by Vital Link to White River Medical Center.  Brown was transported to Stone County Medical Center to be checked out. Investigation is still on going on this incident.
